Asian vegetarians have been making really impressive fake meat for years before the trend caught on over here. I don't know about chicken, but I've had some spookily realistic beef and even some shrimp once. I'm not really sure who this is supposed to appeal to, since most vegetarians I've talked to grew to be disgusted by meat. But hey, science is cool.
