Richard Kelly, who created "Donnie Darko," gives us his vision of the end of the world. The cast includes: Nora Dunn, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Janeane Garofalo, Beth Grant, Bai Ling, John Larroquette, Jon Lovitz, Amy Poehler, Christopher Lambert, Mandy Moore, Miranda Richardson, The Rock, Seann William Scott, Wallace Shawn, Kevin Smith and Justin Timberlake. Mid March is the DVD release.

I'm going to have to check this out. I LOVE Donnie Darko, so I gotta give this movie a chance, even if it has a somewhat lightweight cast.

Moving this video to dotdude's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 3 days.

I always thought Donnie Darko seemed like it came from a slightly under-developed genius, but this looks just plain silly.... a very expensive looking just plain silly though, so it might be worth checking out. Of course Sarah Michelle Geller leans that urge a bit.

This movie is ridiculous and totally confusing. Am just being honest.

I thought this movie was great. Full Disclosure, I didn't know it was a Richard Kelly movie until half way through when I imdb'd it out of sheer wtf-ness. I thought it was some kind of comedy version of Von Trier or David Lynch.
Not to say that it didn't make ANY sense though, i thought the casting of the Rock and various icons of L.A. superficiality (Buffy the valleygirl, JT, etc) was nice, and added to the feeling of airheaded people taking themselves VERY seriously and not having a clue what's going on.
