Soldier uploaded Footage: Staind "So Far Away"

This is a video i saw along time ago on IFilm, and it was well done. The scenes fit the song. There was a post in Ifilm that said Staind was looking for the soldier who made the video so that they could get the negotiate rights or something of the nature. However footage like this would possibly get soldiers in trouble with some desk pilot somewhere.

watching these vids make me real sad ... for the one sad fact that most of these guys who come home will never mentally be the same ...

questionable sift footage @ 1:40 ...

Agreed with ladybug, on both points. They've been sharing some exceptionally well researched articles on nytimes.com of how families are dealing with or being torn apart by repeated tours and the physical and mental health problems resulting from this war.

And, directed towards the submitter, the videosift community is not fond of videos showing the extinction of human lives, especially when the specific context of the action is not given. However, I would be more inclined to argue that the humanity shown in this video outweighs the glorification of explosions from which the lose of human lives resulted.

i like that video pretty much. i'm a soldier myself but i've never been and will never be in any combat zone around the world.
the main fact why i like it so much is the comradeship shown. those soldiers have a real hard time in iraq and i think they earn some respect for their dangerous mission which they are fulfilling.
on the other hand, i can't stand their political leaders. but that's a whole new thing.
