CalamityKatesays...*requeue
siftbotsays...Re-queueing this video for one more try; last queued Tuesday, December 11th, 2007 9:23pm PST - requeue requested by submitter CalamityKate.
fissionchipssays...These people make me gag. First, the woman asks her dog in a baby voice "what's that?" Then the cameraman says, "this is so-and-so saving the sloth" as the woman picks it up out of the water.
People's ignorance of nature and anthropomorphizing of mammals really gets to me sometimes.
Peroxidesays...Fools! Once you touch a sloth, A: you get your hands covered in pretty dangerous bacteria, B: The sloth's mother will abandon it, it wont feed it any more worms and will eject it from the nest.
garshsays...<rolls eyes>
djsunkidsays...No way, i totally disagree with fissionchips. These people almost certainly saved that sloth's life. Sloths do NOT do strenuous, continuous physical activity like swimming. They generally sleep 18-20 hours a day. It was probably exhausted, and close to drowning. Cheers!
siftbotsays...Tags for this video have been changed from 'so, so, so, freakin, cute' to 'so, so, so, freakin, cute, swimming, water, river, lake, boating, boat' - edited by MarineGunrock
9058says...No sloths do swim on rare occasions during rainy seasons to switch to a new tree and they move even slower on dry land. Its dangerous for them but they have to do it. These people assumed any tree would do and that he needed their help. For all we know they put him on the tree he was trying to abandon
