choggiesays.......and makes a slinkety sound....I remember the pastey children singing of the joy of slinky, which is nothing but the aftermath of honing a cylinder in a block of steel...the contiguous debris from the process was fun to play with so some guy markerted it buying scrap from the shop pennies on the dollah!
LadyBugsays...did you grow up without stairs in your house, choggie!?!?! EVERYONE loves a slinky!!
benjeesays...Is it just me, or are all those chldren fair haired? I detect an Aryan conspiracy at work!...
silvercordsays...Alright, I have a confession. They are Aryan. The lot of them. But there's more. They are Stepford Children; perfect in every way but one. They can't stop singing this inane song. As Choggie noted, it's just so slinkety.
I think I'll post up the even more Aryan Slinky commercial from the 50's.
Oh, and the "song migration" link . . . that's what happens when you can't get it out of your head. It just moves with you throughout the day. I couldn't think of a better tag for that.
maudlinsays..."Get a slinky in a size and colour you like ..."
In a perfect world, this video would be fighting it out with the current #1.
And yes, I had a slinky. In addition to the stairs trick and the two-handed cascade, my sister and I liked to play "break the egg and catch it". And then we'd play "get your long hair caught in the slinky and go crying to Mum." Yeah, those were the days.
antsays...Is this really from the 70s? More like 80s. I do remember this.
