Reminds of Bobby Bare Jr's song, dig down, in which he sings, "Chuck Berry, Chuck Berry wrote the only original song, some white boys stole it now we all sing along. Chuck Berry sing to us one more time before Fred Biscuit freezes everybody's mind."

No surprise that the tracks that were direct rip offs were from the teenyboppers. No new ideas there - just rehashes of past hits. I mean that Avril Lavigne song was exactly the same!

Pulling out well used tropes does not make you a plagiarist it just makes you unoriginal. Very few of those were genuine rip-offs they were just examples of lazy writing and lack of talent in (SHOCK!) pop music.
