Shocking TV ad (NSFW)

Just watch... I don't want to ruin it.
choggiesays...

In what country and for what reasons, some questions to consider....on whose approval, and on whose base values, should one meditate on the inevitability of every one's demise one way or another, through the transmission of information to folks who can relate to a lifestyle, where something as bizzzzaroo superman world, inc. is the everyday modus.....
Heh.-would no more consider killing a sex partner with bullet or disease any more than hiding the corpse in a shallow, improvised grave....

Seriously, In reality, the folks killing others with HIV, don't need a gun, nor are they allowed to have a one to do it.....

So....Fuck the dumbshits that produced a piece of tripe for greyingestion.....Blegggh!

cool as shit though, can't tell ya how many times this very thing has happened....

neteansays...

it's a british ad (you can tell that from the car number plate)
but I've never seen it on TV, nor in the cinema.

Damn good ad though, we've suffered purile, lack lustre, patronising ads like this for ages, this one is actually one that makes you think.

Deanosays...

Having consensual unprotected sex is not the same as going around trying to get other people infected with HIV.

And a diagnosis of HIV isn't an instant death sentence and we know that progress is being made to combat HIV.

Basically I thought this ad was sensationlist.

Farhad2000says...

I disagree Deano, coming from a university environment where silence is golden about venereal diseases unprotected consensual sex is a huge problem.

Especially where one night stands are concerned.

Deanosays...

I still don't see how getting an STD is the same as getting one between the eyes. Poor ad IMO, and people are notoriously resistant to this kind of message, and the extreme nature of the ad is testimony to that.
When this doesn't work the next ad is going to have to be ultra-shocking.

Farhad2000says...

Well let's remember that the best way to fight STDs is by education and such. The education has been there for years, people don't really listen. I honestly think if you don't practice safe sex today it's really entirely your own fault if you contract something due to the thought that 'Oh it will never happen to me'.
