The Bush 9/11 Split Screen Video - My Pet Goat - WTC attacks

A side by side video comparison of what was going on in New York City on the morning of September 11, 2001 while President Bush sat in a Florida classroom for seven minutes as the nation was under attack.
dbalsdonsays...

Bush sat in a class room for 7 minutes longer then people think he should off, and this proves......what exactly?????

Just because he was sat there doing nothing, it doesn't mean his security team/entourage/whoever else was with him, wasn't outside the classroom figuring out what exactly was going on, getting as much information as they could, and planning what to do next.

Would've been safer for him to stay in the classroom/school, where it was already deemed safe for him to be, while they planned what to do, rather then rush him out of the building, with no real idea what was happening.

I hate that point of argument from the conspiracy bush hating assholes. SO he sat there for 7 minutes. What was he supposed to do? DO you honestly thing that 7 minutes was going to be enough to do anything? its like these people are trying to make you think that had he done something the second tower could have been prevented. In the time it took to watch this video, do you think he could have done something?

vairetubesays...

we will never know, will we? i sure as hell would have left the kids in the dust.

...that's if i accepted the responsibilities he did as president of a nation.

Yes. I do think NORAD could have done SOMETHING in minutes. that is their goal. The first crash happened before he even started his event.

Don't insult our military's capabilities and readiness. They are always ready, and no one led them properly that day, despite warnings that this type of attack could happen and contingency was needed.

Cheney fuq'd us and he would STILL spit in your face if it would make him a penny.

Do you see my serious cat? Do you? PEPPER, YOU BITCH!

dbalsdonsays...

"Don't insult our military's capabilities and readiness. They are always ready,"

Well, obviously they weren't that day were they? That's the kind of attitude that got you attacked in the first place. The thought that you were untouchable. It's also the reason the stupid truth movement exists. Because you were so sure you were untouchable, you've got it into your heads, the only way this could happen, was if someone on "the inside" was involved. But, all evidence points to: 19 'cavemen'(as the truth movement likes to call them) hijacking 4 planes, and flying them into 3 buidings. Not a single shred of evidence indicates otherwise.

"despite warnings that this type of attack could happen"

Key word there is COULD. Not 'will', not 'was going to', but 'could'. I COULD win the lottery, doesn't mean i'm going to.

choggiesays...

here come the "conspiracy"-bashers.....Although the word conspiracy has been systematically applied to kooks, nuts, paranoid, etc. and effectively lost her true meaning, symbol-addicted meatbots that most folks are....

dbalsdon, arsenault185, you sound like parrots, and the attitude precludes any sincere desire to know truth or what that word even means-

the attitude says, "Fuck it, simply tell me what happened and I'll believe it, cause it would hurt my brain too much to know the truth....which we don't-

dbalsdonsays...

Choggie. When I actually see anything to proves it was an inside job i'll willingly change my view on 9/11. However, until someone proves it was(and i know for a fact, that will never happen) i'm gonna stick with "9/11 was a terrorist attack"

choggiesays...

soooo....wtc7-controlled demolition or scrap from a plane?
It was terrorists alright, to deny it would be idiocy-to believe what you are told is exactly the same. To bash any attempt to reveal truth, messengers aside, is admitting you are a moron. To do it in a public forum.....well, moron, figure it out-whooops!!, incapable, perhaps.

Upvoted for the same reason southblvd gave. I don't care about the whole 7 minutes thing, but the footage of the planes hitting and people panicking and the firemen's stories were eerily moving and probably still will be for me even fifty years after the event.

"I hate that point of argument from the conspiracy bush hating assholes."

That would be me.

I hate the bone-headed Bush-loving idiots who think it's okay for the leader of our country to sit on his ass after his Chief of Staff whispered the words "America is under attack" into his ear.

You mother fuckers have fucked up this country in a serious way with your cruelty and stupidity.

I will not forget it.

MINKsays...

he is the PRESIDENT. how can you even begin to think of an excuse for total inaction at a time like that?

ahh but here come the polarising conspiracy bashers, trying to get us to restrict our thoughts to a choice between 2 theories: "aliens did it" or "bush is perfect".

Sheesh. He is the president. He did nothing. That is INCREDIBLE.

If you run a country, and someone tells you "we are under attack", your first thought should be "i need to go and get more information and immediately start planning a response."

This is a video of a man waiting for his advisers to come and tell him what to do... a commander in chief completely devoid of the will or the ability to command.

That is a completely separate issue from any other "conspiracy theory" talk, and can be taken in isolation.

If someone told you about this beforehand, you wouldn't have believed it was possible, you would have assumed that Bush would quickly and quietly leave and go do his freakin job.

If I had told you Bush supporters that at the moment of attack your president would sit around and do nothing, you would have downvoted my comment in an instant.

Deal with it, your guy is a bad president, you were lied to, the rest of the world is laughing/shouting at you, and your dollar is fucked. That's not a good situation.

9058says...

Damn Mink thats harsh, true, but harsh. Its depressing when its all put in a straight forward sentence like that. Like others i upvote for the fire fighters story but i will add that though im not a Bush supporter by any means I rank the 7 min thing near the bottom of fuck ups on his part. With everything else that has gone wrong, with scandal after scandal, replacing his staff all the time, and so on when I think of things that make him a bad president there is already enough evidence on my mind that this doesnt enter it
