Secrets of James Bond - From Dr. No to Tomorrow Never Dies

HistNerdsays...

It ends fairly abrubptly, but the content that is there is still pretty cool. Of course, I've been obsessed with James Bond since the first time I saw the TBS Superstation marathon in 5th grade.

With a few of my latest posts I've been attempting the wait until 8 votes, so that I could send it to the front on my own. It's worked once, but this one, I concur, is deserving of a vote now.

Speaking of Bond, anybody else seen Casino Royale? I enjoyed it way more than the last few, more gritty and Bond as a character seems much more developed and fleshed out.

LOVED Casino Royale! While it downplayed the gadgetry, which I missed, Daniel Craig made Bond his own, like it should have always been him. I guess it worked because I'll definitely go see the next one.

I loved Casino Royale as well, great job on rebooting the license. But I think like with Bond movies post Goldeneye (which rebooted after Dalton) the quality will quickly diminish.

I was going to ask you about that Farhad, since in the trailer for Casino Royale you said, "I don't dig the new guy." Personally, I enjoyed all of the latest Bonds, though, Halle Berry was terrible in Die Another Day. Casino Royale, was great though! I absolutely loved it!

HistNerd are you telling me your eyes didn't roll with Die Another Day? The ice palace? The 'invisible' car?

I mean I know it's a movie but that was straight off the deep end.

Casino Royale was awesome. I saw it at Mann's Chinese when it was almost empty last Tuesday.

Heh, I was glad ABC did that old movie marathon during Saturday nights a few years ago. I watched all of them and was caught up.

Congrats on your gold, HistNerd, although I seriously don't get how you could enjoy the invisible car. I mean, c'mon....

I thought the reboot was much needed, and liked Craig's take on Bond as a character (even though I'm not a fan of his looks as a match for the role). I thought the torture scene was hilarious...does that make me weird?
