Second Doomsday Fish Found On Southern California Shore

The 9.5-foot oarfish was discovered on Nov. 6, marking the second such occurrence in San Diego County this year.
In Japanese folklore, the oarfish is known as a "Messenger from the Sea God's Palace" and is considered a harbinger of bad news, particularly natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis.
