Unfortunately the SSP haven't been the same since Tommy Sheridan left. He has now formed his own socialist party appropriately called Solidarity. Neither party is likely to gain many seats in the Scottish Parliament, and it is likely that the Scottish National Party (SNP) will win with Labour or the Liberal Democrats a close second. According to one study, on some transportation systems, the cost of collecting the fares equals the amount collected. The only reason the fares are collected is to keep the public transportation system from becoming a defacto homeless shelter.

I'm surprised they didn't hit the point of a free transit system actually saving money versus road repairs, etc. That was a big point that that little girl could have shown on her chalk board.
