youtube "Giuliani Bungled Preparation in Years After 1993 Attack on Trade Center.
Critical failures by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani before, during and after the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, raise serious questions about his ability to be commander-in-chief.
In this thirteen minute documentary, fire fighters, fire officers and family members give dramatic testimony about Giuliani's leadership failures. Their dramatic stories tell how Giuliani failed to provide the FDNY with radios that worked, which led to the deaths of 121 fire fighters inside the World Trade Center's North Tower because they were unable to hear orders to evacuate.
Fire fighters also point to Giuliani's poor judgment in placing his emergency command center at 7 World Trade Center, a known terrorist target after the 1993 bombing.
This video documents the mayor's lack of respect for the fallen when he called off the recovery effort at Ground Zero on Nov. 1, 2001, after $200 million in gold bullion was recovered.
"We produced this documentary because we need to make sure our members know Giuliani's real record," said IAFF General President Harold Schaitberger.
"The UFA participated in this video to correct the myth that Rudy Giuliani has perpetrated on the American public," said Steve Cassidy, president of the Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York, IAFF Local 94.
The Giuliani campaign defended the former mayor's record by issuing a release that lists items he purchased for FDNY.
"But the campaign, with its response, has neglected to address the charges of failed leadership outlined in our documentary," President Schaitberger said.
"Purchasing equipment for a fire department doesn't qualify any mayor to be president," said Jack McDonnell, president of New York City Local 854, the Uniformed Fire Officers Association.
"If that's the litmus test for president of the United States, then most mayors in this country qualify for the job. Giuliani is running on his 9/11 record, and his 9/11 record is laced with failures in preparedness and response," McDonnell said.
The IAFF has not made an endorsement in the 2008 presidential election. Local 94 supported President George W. Bush in the 2004 election, while the IAFF
and Local 854 endorsed Sen. John Kerry.
The International Association of Fire Fighters, headquartered in Washington, DC, represents more than 280,000 full-time professional fire fighters and paramedics in every state in the United States and in Canada. More information is available at www.iaff.org and at www.rudy-urbanlegend.com."

choggiesays...Giuliani is as qualified for president of the U.S., as

*eternal upvote
choggiesays...fedquip has been awarded an eternal upvote, for his quality, editorial spelunking.
Giuliani makes me wanna slap somebody.....again....building 7...the imploded one, with swamp fuel tanks inside, that ignited because of the airplane part........and brought it down in nice pile......
kingmobsays...choggie your opinions are so varied...you sir are ALIVE :-)
It's scary the Giuliani thing...alot of New Yorkers said his run would falter as soon as people would start talking...but he is POPULAR http://www.pollingreport.com/wh08rep.htm.
Although the Hillary Obama fight should be good ... I want the final fight to be even better...Only Ron Paul looks good on the Republican side and he is trailing sooo far behind.
Parsays...Choggie:
Why do you persist in telling lies about World Trade Center 7? You know that your description of the official explanation of the collapse is completely inaccurate. Do you lie to make that explanation appear less plausible and, consequently, to afford your absurd controlled demolition fantasies some undue credibility?
Once again, World Trade Center 7 collapsed due to a combination of major structural damage caused by the collapse of World Trade Center 1 and from suffering eight-hours of widespread and unfought fires. Further, it didn't fall into a "neat pile." The collapse caused significant damage to 30 West Broadway and The Verizon Building and minor damage to several others; the debris spanned the width of Barcley Street.
PS: If you do decide to reply, it might be beneficial for you to actually include some evidence and some argument as opposed to yet another ream of narcissistic drivel.

They look like news clips and and are quite explicit about "pulling" the building...
Of course the notion of "pulling" would imply planted explosive, I guess.
I haven't really looked much into this and I don't know Choggie's theory, but there seems to be lots of "stuff" out there to stir the pot.
Parsays...If we're to think that the rescue workers had foreknowledge of a supposed demolition, it would imply that they're both complicit in and keeping quiet about a conspiracy that claimed the lives of approximately four hundred of their colleagues. The rescue workers were well aware that World Trade Center 7 was going to collapse -- due to the structural damage and extensive fires it had suffered; there are a number of quotations in which they state as much.
It's fairly clear that by "pull it," Silverstein meant "pull the team of fire fighters back to a safe distance." There are numerous quotations in which the fire fighters themselves use the term in precisely the same way. Grammatically, it would have been exceedingly strange if by "pull it" he'd meant "blow it up." Further, given that he was talking to the Fire Department at the time, if that's really what he'd meant, then it would imply that the Fire Department made the decision to carry out a nefarious demolition. Somehow, I doubt he'd be the subject of all this libellous nonsense if his name wasn't Silverstein.
With regards to the clip featuring the discussion of "pulling" World Trade Center 6, there's a reason why the typically deceitful conspiracy theorist that runs that site has cut the video at that point. He doesn't want you to see the next scene; it shows the building not being demolished by an explosive demolition, but being literally pulled over with steel cables attached to heavy machinery.
Rottysays...Par,
With all due respect, it's not clear to me that "pull it" means pull the firefighters. I see that it could mean pull the building down or demolition. And, there was no explicit reference to bldg 6, althought the implication of the website was that it was bldg 7.
Anyway, it's healthy to have the debates.
quantumushroomsays...A Hillary-sponsored hit-piece featuring union schmucks.
Such nerve whining about biased FOX and then serving up this sh;t with a straight face.
Rottysays...Quantum,
There is NO doubt that this is politically motivated. Unions suck. I don't have a guaranteed job with guaranteed raises for watching other people work. Ask the US automakers what they'd like to do with those auto "worker" losers. I buy Toyotas hahahaha.
Parsays...Rotty:
I think you might be slightly muddled over which clip I was referring to at any one time and what those clips themselves actually show. Just to clarify, my first paragraph referred to this one, my second to this one and my third to this one (which features a discussion of the "pulling" of World Trade Center 6 and not World Trade Center 7).
Further, if you'll notice, I didn't simply claim that "It's fairly clear that by 'pull it,' Silverstein meant 'pull the team of fire fighters back to a safe distance'" and leave it at that. I gave a number of reasons as to why it's clear that that's what he meant; the belief that he meant "blow it up" results in a number of absurd consequences. The most notable of which is that it implies that the Fire Department are both complicit in and keeping quiet about a conspiracy that claimed the lives of approximately three hundred of their colleagues and a further three thousand innocent American citizens.
