Smart response, and she can fight: "“I’m the highest paid fighter not because Dana and Lorenzo wanted to do something nice for the ladies — they do it because I bring in the highest numbers.”
Via: Even if you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, you’ve probably caught whispers of how freakin’ awesome Ronda Rousey is.
Thanks to her no-nonsense attitude — and wicked arm bar — the UFC women’s bantamweight champion become a cultural icon in 2015. Naturally, she’s been asked to weigh in on some of society’s most controversial issues, and her answers are as equally awesome as
her Carl’s Jr. commercial.
Take for example, the press conference Rousey — the UFC’s highest-paid fighter — took part in over the weekend where a feminist reporter asked her to comment on gender income inequality in sports.
“I think that how much you get paid should have something to do with how much money you bring in,” Rousey said. “I’m the highest paid fighter not because Dana and Lorenzo wanted to do something nice for the ladies — they do it because I bring in the highest numbers.”
“They do it because I make them the most money, and I think that they make should be proportionate to the money they bring in,” she said.
