Why won't people listen to this man?
We have been over this blankfist. He is good, nice, and sticks to his principle. Why do people watch the news? Why do people bully, hurt their loves, steal, cheat, brown nose? I could go on. People are such simple, instinct-based creatures.
NICE GUYS FINISH LAST OR NOT AT ALL!
longdesays...I'm sure they do....long enough to hear enough nutty shit. Then they stop listening. >> ^blankfist:

I'm curious, because I hear comments like this a lot. What exactly is nutty about what he's saying here?
longdesays...I was answering your question in general. My point is that despite the validity of what he says in one video or another, his propensity to make outlandish statements cost him credibility in the long run.
I agree with alot of what this guy says. In the last repub primary, I thought he was a voice of reason in the debates. But I would hope he would never get elected or appointed to high office. His fringe views in many areas are unacceptable to me. Like my recent statement about the teabaggers, I think Mr. Paul is of the stripe who would kill our country to save it.>> ^blankfist:

DerHasisttotjokingly says...Romans and Greeks took the money of their richest citizens when in a pinch... just sayin...
CircleMakersays...But that's just it: the treasury isn't the only source of money in the country. Bankruptcy implies defaulting on paying bills, which we haven't done yet. Everybody keeps saying how broke this country is, while the top 0.1% hoard massive amounts of the country's money supply. If we were serious about paying down our debt, we'd acknowledge that the plurality of wealth is concentrated into the hands of a tiny minority. There should be at least two more tax brackets, for millionaires and billionaires, to tap into the vast reserves of cash just sitting in the accounts of people who own private jets. Let's stop fooling ourselves that a nation where this is possible is somehow running out of money.
If Ron Paul had his way, we'd write off all the debt we owe ourselves like it didn't exist. Is that really a responsible solution?

lantern53says...Bet they still send out foreign aid.
gwiz665says...Country != companies in that company.
The country is bankrupt, not the companies from it.
