Robert Johnson has had a major influence on much of the music we listen to today. A lot of us just don't know it :)

...and only recorded a total of 34 sides, in a little over 7 months in 1936-7, in San Antonio and Dallas, respectively......and got paid dick for it....then made good on the deal with the devil in August 1938 @ age 27, falling ill after playing a party and dying four days later....whodunnit???

many think it was an angry husband. He was, by today's standards, a "playa'" of sorts.
