Robert Johnson = Devil: Bullsh*t "Expose" by Christian Group

sbchapmsays...

However the stuff they say about feeling like the music comes from elsewhere is true, I think. They used to call them Muses back in the day. And whatever brought about Robert Johnson's great music, I say, bring it on. I find this narrator HILARIOUS.

Nobody knowns much of anything about Robert Johnson, just that he wrote all these tragic and melancholy songs in the poetic and powerful words of Christian mythology.

The narrator sounds like he say's "DUUUDE!" a lot.

The Son House recording is great... "he'd get the guitar and be tryin to play it and just be noisen' the people".

"I went to the crossroads, fell down on my knees.
I went to the crossroads, fell down on my knees.
I asked the Lord above, have mercy, save poor Bob if you please.
Uum, standing at the crossroads I tried to flag a ride.
Standing at the crossroads I tried to flag a ride.
Ain't nobody seem to know me, everybody pass me by."

Hi-larious. Welcome to the irony-free zone.
I never played my AC/DC records backwards but my religious cousins did..

I wasn't sure this was real.. narrator seems like a perky California VH1 guy. But it's real.. they're also concerned with "MARILYN MANSON AND THE LONG GREASED POLE INTO HELL"... heh. Paging Ted Haggard!
