They are only used for super-long haul runs, the trailers then get separated for delivery into cities.
Although B-doubles are common (two trailers)
garshYou should see the front-end of a road train too.
You see, when you have that much mass going that fast, there's no way you're ever going to be able to stop for a kangaroo or cow that runs onto the road. So they always have huge "brush guards" on the front, to limit any damage.
