therealblankmanBack in the dark ages (the 80's) Music Videos were seen as more than a way of selling more records*- they were a new and emergent art form unto themselves. Now, with few exceptions, they are only the former.

swampgirlwhat I loved about record stores were the huge blowups of the album covers hanging in the window. There was always this one scrawny music geek that worked in there somewhere. Bet he has a kick ass collection today of "vinyl"
dotdudeThis song was on the charts during the 1984 presidential campaign. Around that time there was a political cartoon of Democratic presidential candidate Walter Mondale, "Puttin' on the Fritz." I tried to find it on the web, but no luck so far.
