whats good for the goose .... thanks for being the disinfectant in absence of sunshine, cameraman. shame people who can't defend their actions because they dont "have to"... and let the world see this double standard

Not entirely sure how I feel about this.

True, people are peacefully protesting, so no need for the police to skulk around filming people.

On the flip side, was it necessary to harass the police over their right to film in public - or do they have that right?

They were unmarked, plain clothed, refused to give their names or identification while filming. If they weren't up to no good, what reason would they have to be doing this? And why would they leave when confronted?

And how is he to know that he is, in fact, police if he won't identify himself? He could very well be imposing as a police officer for all he knows.

The officer made an honest point about wanting to relax, as a human being someone getting in front of your face for what you do is a bit stressful.

That was until the guy mentioned the camera in the car, then the point suddenly felt weaker.

He was being condescending, perhaps passive aggressive - "You want to calm down, you do," is not a phrase i've ever heard said to make an honest point in the middle of a tense argument. Afterwards i even think he was trying to spark a reaction by being condescending because his threats hadn't worked.

These sly little fuckers ought to be sacked on the spot if they were police. Abusing power like that is the most cowardly, weaselly act.. only the lowest, stupidest kind of human being does that kind of stuff.
