I watched the Superbowl - and apart from a few moments of excitement the game was dull - too much stopping and starting - it just reinforced my belief that American 'football' is just a poor inferior bastardized and overly commercialized version of rugby!

I watched the game and it was awesome, Devin Hester's kickoff TD was just too much to handle at the bar I was at. The rest was Peyton Manning basically solidify his place in the NFL Hall of Fame. Rex Grossman failing his team by getting sacked twice in a row. The Colts had a better team and wanted it more then the Bears.

The half time show I thought was pretty shit. Ever since that Janet Jackson debacle they haven't really had any modern stars in the half time shows. Sad.

You can (and Prince often does) play notes just on the neck.

It's entirely possible parts of it (especially the marching band accompaniments) were prerecorded, but that's Prince singing and that's Prince playing the guitar, without a doubt.

I said there were a few moments of excitement - and Devin Hester's kickoff touchdown was one of them. Peyton Manning was great, and Rex Grossman sucked. Maybe it's just a cultural thing, but the Six Nations Rugby tournament started this weekend in Britain and the Superbowl just sucked in contrast. Rugby is just as physical a game, with blood and broken limbs all over the place, but the players wear no protective clothing. Furthermore, the same 15 men (give and take a few substitutes) play offence and defence for the full 80 minutes without all the stopping and starting that seems to plague American 'football'.

I'd love to watch an American 'football' allstar team take on the New Zealand All Blacks - I know which team I'd put my money on.

I think you all need to relax, I never said Prince was the problem. The man is a great artist, I don't doubt that.

But I think it's a bit strange for him to be playing the Superbowl Half Time Show, that's all. It's like bringing back MC Hammer or Duran Duran... And the only reason there are no big headliners anymore is because of Janet-boob-gate. Furthermore I believe everyone is entailed to their opinion.
