kronosposeidonsays...The popularity of PostSecret both amazes me and yet doesn't surprise me at the same time. I know that sounds contradictory, because it is. I mean I know that there are people who are just dying to anonymously share their secrets with the world, but the shear number of people who feel compelled to do this is what amazes me. And all of us gawkers who go there to read other people's deepest secrets? I think we're trying to find others who are like us so that we don't feel so weird.
Nice find, arvana.

I believe this is true in part. I think the human interest in secrets has to do with our longing to understand others and ourselves. Part of the reason I became fascinated in PostSecret (Thank you StumbleUpon) was not only because of my relation with some of the secrets, or the look into the human psyche it gave me, but also because I don't really have any secrets myself.
It's interesting to read about what others consider their secrets and to consider if I would be willing to share that secret in their situation, anonymously or not.
Either way I think it's good for those who write in and for those who get to delve into others minds and hearts by reading.
