Those colorful, pretty and festive things bouncing around on the bulls back and upper right-side are banderillas (barbed spears) that have been used to injure, excite and exhaust the bull prior to the 'competition'.

EMPIREsays...I don't mean the bull was unhurt at all. I meant it was unhurt from the Forcados routine. The rest of bullfighting is disgusting and barbaric. The fact that some people consider shoving metal spikes into animals a form of "art" makes me want to punch them.
