Classic!

Damn SwampGirl covering all the classics. You know I think this movie might have fallen out of copyright by now...

FAVORITE film. I love everything about this classic. Nice sift.

I've always felt the guy who played Sam did a lot with a little. Would it have killed the Academy to give him a Best Supporting Actor nod instead of Claude Rains?
Of course, Bergman was teh hawt and Bogie was, well, Bogie.

Theo I don't think at the time they could have given an Oscar to an african-american actor. But I agree with what you said. They should have.

Not so: Hattie McDaniel was the first African-American to be nominated and to win an Oscar three years earlier for "Gone with the Wind".

Movies at that time really paid great attention to lighting the actors, Ingrid Bergman looks simply angelic.
