If I had to speculate, the mathematical explanation as to why he carved up the pineapple in this way has to do with the most efficient access to the fruit's utility (i.e., its edibility) divided by maximal surface area, which equals, if I've calculated accurately, deliciousness.

Someone might want to adjust the tag from Thailand to China (the place Shanghai is actually located ; ).

Every time some stupid new internet meme starts, I think "I can't wait until this dies off". But I never seem to consider that something even dumber will inevitably follow it.
