Well he seems happy when he finally got it. I'd trade places in a second if all my worry in life was catching my tail.

this video makes a good argument against intelligent design.

why would you give an animal an appendage it doesn't have direct control over? my cat used to wake himself up with his tail and immediately attack it, only to hurt himself. terribly amusing for me as a child since i quickly caught on that this was a fun game for me to play with him. so really, if it was designed, its sole purpose must have been to elicit child sadism, and that is decidedly unintelligent.
