I'm guessing fourteen. You can see the transition points clearly in most cases by watching the lighting, but the creator does a very good job of blending between scenes. There were a couple in the summer that were very short, but the autumn was stretched out to catch the leaves as they changed.

I liked it and I did think it was nice, but I thought we would get more of a sense that time was passing. For what it was, it could have been 5 photos taken each season with a morphed progression. I was hoping for a bit more on the concept of time being portrayed.

It would be better if it was an actual timelapse video, instead of 12 pictures blended together. 40 seconds = 1000 frames. They ought to take a picture about every 8 hours for a real timelapse, not once a month with 3 seconds of video for each real picture.
