Wumpussays...Keith Olbermann is being critical of the president??? Why, that's totally out of character!!
winkler1says...Olbermann was doing it before it was popular Heck, now republican senators do it.
What to do about Iraq poses not only a national policy crisis but profound political problems for the Republican Party. Disenchantment with George W. Bush within the GOP runs deep. Republican leaders around the country, anticipating that the 2006 election disaster would prompt an orderly disengagement from Iraq, are shocked that the president now appears ready to add troops." - Novak column
Farhad2000says...I don't like Olbermann because he's not concise. He just keeps ranting because he wants to be Edward R. Murrow.
Wumpussays...I think that Novak quote is too myopic. The President's power is dwarfed by the power of Congress. There are a lot of things he can't do unless Congress signs off on it. Whatever it is he did, the Republicans had hand in it. I don't want to get drawn into a big discussion about it, so I'll just leave it at that.
