Yogisays..."Not surprised actually"
That's what makes this worse...we just expect it now and roll over.

Lowensays...In their defense, who DOESN'T want a gigantic bonus?

Aside from breaking your spine in three places Mr. Grylls, are you feeling up for some tennis today old chap?
Porksandwichsays...The family of 5 I killed last year with my vehicle nonwithstanding, you'll see that for every other day of last year I killed no one. So I believe I am entitled to heavily discounted insurance rates, my license back, and to be let out of prison for my high commitment to road safety. I would also like to resume my job as a school bus driver.
Just doesn't have the same kind of "Well I don't see what could go wrong!" ring to it for most people when you apply it to an individual citizen instead of a corporate citizen.
shadowncsays...So ridiculous.
Also, take this incident completely out of it and look at from this standpoint. Why the hell should a bunch of executives get huge bonuses for a company's safety record in the first place? If corporate culture made any sense the people who are working dangerous jobs every day should be the ones receiving 'safety bonuses' if a company has a good year. Not a bunch of executives.
