Obama website hacked!

Despite the speculation in the video, there's no evidence that this was done at the behest of the Clinton campaign, or even necessarily a supporter. At least, as far as I know. (Happened 4/19, the weekend prior to the Pennsylvania primary, and was fixed within 2 hours)

Whatever. Bawwww. My staff is too dumb to run a webserver. Waaaaaaaaaaaa.

What if your bank was this inept? Would you go blame the Russian hackers?

Also, just FYI, Lieberman made similar claims about his website and tried to blame his opponent. The FBI release a report recently showing in fact, his campaign did it.

I wouldn't doubt this was done by Obama staff (or even McCain). And at any rate, what kind of idiots can't report it to the webmaster and have it fixed in 2 minutes? How many clicks did you lose in those two minutes?

(a) keep your website secure
(b) if you do find evidence of hacking then release the server logs showing who did it

or just let some of your followers whine about it online and point fingers. What a great campaign.

I actually agree with most of what you said, though I take exception to the way you try to twist this into "Obama and his supporters suck".

It was fixed pretty much right away, and I also have doubts that anyone connected to any campaign did it. I'd actually bet on it being some misguided adolescent conservative who wants to fan the flames in the democratic primary (like Bill Kristol).

I did note in the description that there's no evidence to back up what this guy says about who must've done it, though I did add a snarky "as far as I know" in there.

I posted this 'cause I thought people might find it interesting.

If it was fixed right away, why make this youtube video?

I said the same thing about Liarman when he accused his opponents, just like this known Obama blogger. Obama's followers do suck if they play the "Clinton did it" game with a worthless compromised webpage.

You think a website hacker is going to just redirect one page????????? Why not silently gather traffic, emails, direct to a spoof page or phish usernames and passwords, etc.
