Neil Young - Words (Between The Lines Of Age) Glastonbury 09

An epic version of the (in my opinion, anyway) best Neil Young song ever - Words (Between The Lines Of Age). The song is from the album Harvest, and this is a live recording from Glastonbury, June 26, 2009.

For music like this - *long is *good*.

Fun fact - the song alternates between 4/4 time signature in the verses and a more interesting 11/8 (3+3+3+2) in the interludes.

Words

Someone and someone
were down by the pond
Looking for something
to plant in the lawn

Out in the fields
they were turning the soil
I'm sitting here hoping
this water will boil

When I look through the windows
and out on the road
They're bringing me presents
and saying hello

Singing Words
Words
between the lines of age
Words
Words
between the lines of age

If I was a junk man
selling you cars
Washing your windows
and shining your stars

Thinking your mind
was my own in a dream
What would you wonder
and how would it seem?

Living in castles
a bit at a time
The King started laughing
and talking in rhyme

Singing Words
Words
between the lines of age
Words
Words
between the lines of age.

(As a side note, I recommend the DVD Audio version of Harvest - in addition to the higher audio quality it has an even longer album version of Words. Mmmh.)
