Honestly, I really dislike news organizations' going after this kind of thing with such avidity. Our sexual lives are private. One's sexual behavior has nothing to do with one's abilities in public office.

JFK practiced pretty good politics in between sessions, but presidents don't have to pay. Ask Bill. The difference in JFK's time was; there was respect for a person's privacy.

This sucks. I've admired Spitzer for quite some time. He has done so much for consumers and the citizenry by prosecuting stock fraud, bank fraud, price fixing etc. I hope he is able to come clean and move on, but the truth is the sexually repressed Republican legislature will impeach him if he doesn't resign, even if he is not eventually prosecuted for violating the Mann Act.

He's a criminal. He should resign.
