kageninsays...I love seeing stuff like this. The intelligent see this as a 40-year-long step backwards for civil rights. The religious conservatives can kick and scream all they want, but the fact is, they're wrong about this.
My fellow Californians, please vote with me on November 4th, and tell these religious extremists where they can stuff their misguided beliefs rooted in hate and fear.
No to Hate. No on Eight.

dbarry3says...Yes. I love using violence to promote tolerance. It really drives the point home.

You gathered violence from the formation of my statement. My goal when I wrote it was to cause people to think about the constitution and what it takes to get your civil and equal rights.
In your case you discovered violence in my statement, however I did not define violence in my statement.
The term hit can describe a lawsuit, a protest, and any number of non violent things.
dbarry3says...Nordich,
I apologize for misinterpreting your statement. Some of the language seems aggressive/violent. But if you intend your message to be non-violent, so be it.
I have been disturbed by the reports of vandalism against people's private property that are displaying "yes on 8" signs. Such vandalism has included spray painting garage doors, cars, and breaking car windows. I simply cannot reconcile the seemingly opposing sides of (1) urging tolerance for one side yet at the same time (2) violently disallowing any voice of opposition.
The issue is up for vote and both sides must be allowed to present their arguments for or against prop 8, and then whatever happens the voice of the people must be respected.

Google with search terms "gay man shot" and you will find multiple stories of hate, and discrimintation

Do not act like the yes to 8 people are righteous.
From where I sit both sides are wrong. The state should have nothing to do with marriage or church.
