Apparently at some point in the 1940s, big spring money decided to go on a public relations campaign after a spurt of spring related fatalities.

After WWI, Jam Hand formed Jam Handy Organization to create films for the auto industry. This *shortfilm was most likely a product of some agreement with some auto manufacturer or part manufacturer. Weird.
