arvanaWhat a great idea: supersize a violin, add a couple more strings and give it a flat bridge — makes for a beautiful instrument, and it definitely has a lovely sound.
CreamKreatorBeautiful instrument and it does have a distinctic sound. I lacks "openness" with those f-holes (hehee, not f-bomb you dirties..), it sounds a little damp or closed. I think it would actually be good for accompanies and fast picking. Not a solo instrument IMO.
TheFreakBeautiful instrument but there was something about the sound that didn't seem right.
Maybe it was the recording but it sounded almost like a guitar with a pillow stuffed inside. It didn't have the clarity I want from a guitar. Something else was wrong but honestly I couldn't put my finger on it. In my defense, the image of that huge zit video kept running through my head while I was trying to focus on the sound. [shiver]
ziggystardustsays...I bet this instrument would sound great doing bluegrass flat picking.
