I don't know if this is appropriate for the Sift, but it's from discovery so it must be okay.

the human-drama voyeur in the crowd may find it compelling, as would the detail in the title of the post, attract the flies.......lets all watch the car wreck, and follow the ambulance to the hospital, for some great, you-tube upload material...........bleghhh. So now we know some unlikely effects of, otherwise rudimentary aspects of physics-an arm can rip two legs off at 300 miles an hour:(

The detail in the title is there to warn of any people who don't want to see it.
There are a lot of videos of crashes and other accidents on the Sift. Horrible as they are, some part of me finds them fascinating. Maybe it's as you say, it's the physics behind it.

I just read the posting guidelines again and maybe this does violate a rule.
