Menuhin 80th Birthday - Antal Szalai performs Bartok (p. 1)

Antal Szalai (Hungarian: Szalai Antal; born January 31, 1981 in Budapest) is a Hungarian violinist. Szalai began to study the violin at age five. He studied with Laszlo Denes, Peter Komlos, Jozef Kopelman,and Katalin Sebestyen. He also studied for a time with Pinchas Zukerman in New York. His career began at age 15 when he performed Bela Bartok’s First Violin Concerto under the direction of Zsolt Hamar at a gala concert to celebrate Sir Yehudi Menuhin’s 80th birthday in Budapest on October 1, 1996.
