Marvin Gaye - "What's Going On / What's Happening Brother"

This live 1972 performance is probably the greatest that Marvin ever recorded to video. It comes from the long out-of-circulation 1973 film, "Save The Children". The performance is quite simply transcendent, and features the great James Jamerson on bass and a middle section featuring just Gaye's voice and piano with conga backing.

was just about to be your tag change hussy. this is definately politically orientated. as wikipedia states "The album is told from the point of view of a Vietnam War veteran returning to the country he had been fighting for, and seeing nothing but injustice, suffering and hatred. Gaye's brother, Frankie, had returned from three years of service in the Army in 1970."
