fissionchipssays...If I recall, the 'intro' opening sequence that precedes this clip is the narrator talking about a series of gee-whiz coincidences. They used it as a trailer, which was odd because I never thought that it fit very well with the rest of the movie. This clip seems like a much better place to start the screenplay. But hey, I'm no Paul Thomas Anderson .
Sarzysays...Well,
a) that into is a beautiful and immensely entertaining way to open the film, and
b) it establishes the notion that, yes, strange things can and do happen, such as -- oh, I don't know -- frogs raining from the sky.
I think it's a pretty awesome way to start the film, and I would have sifted it myself but someone beat me to it (and on a somewhat related note, that's one ant downvote that I just can't understand).
