Stephin Merritt and his Magnetic Fields sing "The Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side". This fan-made video was the best I could find for this awesome tune. I doubt it's poised to rocket out of the queue but give it a listen and prove me wrong!

Not crazy about the song, but I love that the animation is made of typographical dingbats and characters...cool! One wise sifter named krupo once told me it was perfectly ok to vote up your own posts calvados. It may make the queue yet...

Why you're right, lisa -- I didn't watch the whole thing at first and it looked deceptively rough at first blush. Not a crappy video then -- changing tags.
