Harry Shearer drops a bomb today on his video blog at "My Damn Channel" un-filtered video of news anchor Katie Couric during the New Hampshire primary. Among the highlights:

*She complains about the mics
*She compares John McCain’s wife Cindy to a husky
*She makes a Giuliani remark
*She is a little potty mouth
*and generally sounds very giggly and un-anchory

I haven't seen any other non-air videos of her speaking to compare with, but this didn't seem like anything more than first night jitters. She didn't say anything particularly offensive, really.

Always interesting to see the person behind the mask though.

I saw her broadcast and she seemed to have held it together pretty good.

"I don't know much about Huckabee"

Why does one of the most popular broadcast news anchors not know much about one of the frontrunners, but I do?

She seems to fake to me. Living in a fake world. Reporting fake news... Sorta.
