Performing live 1970. I fell in love with Joni at age 11 when I inherited my big sister's album collection when she went overseas.

I've never heard the last verse before.

Upvote because it's a classic but this song has always faintly annoyed me, just sayin'. Something about her voice, some of the words. Anh, I'm picky.

You mean the way her voice breaks, likes it's falsetto?

it's kind of shrill and reedy. it seems like she sings (--this song at least) near the top of her range and it causes her sound to suffer. had to listen to it again just now to put it in words
