Old clip from Book TV, but relevant again with the recent criticism of Jimmy Carter returning to the Middle East to speak with Hamas.

The caller sounds like he just turned off Bill O'Reilly. But his statements surely represent a wide variety of honest opinions that some have of Jimmy Carter.

Carter answers by pointing to how he has negotiated Peace in the past.

Glad to see the post get some votes. Personally I like that Jimmy is trying to get people to talk. I don't think you can get people to see it your way if you're just bombing them (terrorists take note), but there are a lot of people out there that don't respond to reason. I guess that's all part of the human condition.

In the documentary, "Jimmy Carter Man from Plains," there is a segment that discusses his use of the word "apartheid" in his book title and content.

I can't help but feel a sense of hatred towards people like that caller. How could you possibly confuse Jimmy Carter with someone that is "black hearted"?

That's like thinking Santa Clause is an evil, selfish pedophile out to get kids into the sleigh.
