The rookie fell to the turf while running down the sideline, and the Jets' Sal Alosi later admitted he interfered with Carroll.

"I made a mistake that showed a total lapse in judgment," Alosi said in a statement released by the Jets about 2 1/2 hours after the game. "My conduct was inexcusable and unsportsmanlike and does not reflect what this organization stands for."

I'd let random jerks trip me while in a full sprint for a million dollar salary.

I remember a year or two ago when a referee knocked down a player on purpose and everyone thought it funny. I don't recall anyone saying that the official should be fired.

I'm sure some did call for the official to be fired. People call for officials to be fired for anything because they hate them. Also I don't hear in this clip anyone calling for the Jets guy to be fired either.
