Spin Magazine: On his recent tour stops in support of Lazaretto, Jack White has taken to interpolating bits and pieces of covers of famous songs into his set. After doing "Enter Sandman" at Glastonbury and Kanye West's "Black Skinhead" in Dublin, the former White Stripe performed a bit of Jay Z's "99 Problems" during his set at Louisville's Forecastle Festival.
Unlike those previous two covers, White's bold enough to take on some of his former collaborator's vocals, using his previous band's "Icky Thump" as the bedrock for a bluesy cover of the track. Watch the performance in the fan-shot video above (via Consequence of Sound) which has a portion of his cover of Dick Dale's "Misirlou" tagged on the end for good measure.
