Is Christian Morality Psychopathic?

Sam Harris explains why Christian "morality" is bankrupt, and why thanking god for your daily triumphs is selfish and arrogant.

This is a top-quality talk, and Harris is a *quality speaker.

As for Craig, allow me to quote myself (the link is about Craig's argument that Harris addresses):

>> ^hpqp:

William Lane Craig is a KING of the sophisticated theology that people like Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris and so on just don't get. My favourite example so far is how he explains the morality behind the brutal massacres of children in the Bible, and argues ever so convincingly that the true victims are the poor murderers, who must have been simply traumatised doing God's bidding.
Read and learn, amoral heathens!

SDGundamXsays...

He makes a good argument against divine command theory, but most of his argument seems not specifically against Christianity but against Dr. Craig's theological claims.

I'm fucking sick of videosift refreshing the page or whatever and closing the window where I was writing my epic fucking rant. Fuck you videosift programmers, I'll be damned if i'm writing my comment again. No, I'll just abuse your unforgivable incompetence. You are the moth from which the term bug gained it's meaning.

Morganthsays...

Sam Harris doesn't deserve air time. All of his arguments, whether they are in his failed books or talks like this one, are based upon the argument from evil & suffering, a philosophical claim that has been all but universally acknowledged as bunk for decades now.

Sam Harris, please go away.
