The US doesn't like competition in the weapons manufacturing/distribution business. They after all are the greatest proliferator of weapons on the planet.

Here is one reason people believe it is directed at Israel. That Iranian made missiles have been used against Israel by Hezbollah might be another tiny hint.

Would you settle for "Death to Israel" on the side of them?
