Improv Everywhere: No Pants 2K8

People in the undies ride the subway!

Yeah!

Swear to...(what do atheists swear to?) I was on the downtown 6 on a Sunday (Jan 13) and the train car was packed. At Grand Central, the car virtually emptied out and I realized that there were two average, ~25 year old lookin dudes, one reading and one sketching in a notebook, who looked totally normal aside from the absence of their pants. As the train pulled out of 42ndd, I looked at the man right in front of me and shrugged, "Hey, maybe they got stained?" People will remember IE.

It always surprises me how shocked people react. These people reveal less than if they were at the beach, but the taboo of the underwear causes a reaction.
I believe in the first no pants the few people partaking in the prank were arrested, or at least escorted off of the train. Could they actually charge them with a crime like indecency for this?

Man, the NYC subway map is so boring compared to Paris. Sorry, I had to say it. Still a funny video and event, just had to do some more "oooh, look at me, I got to *travel a bit" commenting.

Dunno about indecency, but the old people at 2 minutes into the video looked bemused or almost amused by it.

*bravo for the street performance art too

Aww, I think it was better when they only had a few people without pants riding. That way you could have just the one person sort of be the focus for a whole car, and people could wonder why he was without pants. With so many people doing it now, it must be obvious that it's an organized thing, and that sort of defeats the purpose, in my mind.
