FYI this story was pretty much debunked soon after it came out. Well -- not quite debunked, but shown to be unlikely, given the evidence (or lack thereof).

Debunked? Damn it!

This would have made a perfect "Movie of the Week" episode.

Or maybe something with higher production standards starring Ron Jeremy and Nina Hartley.

I hate that, in our modern society, something happens that has a 1 in 1,000,000,000 chance, then everyone gets up in arms and has to waste money, time and effort to make sure that it doesn't happen again Which, it probably never will happen again, naturally, for the rest of the lifespan of the species.
