Hurricane Otis hits Acapulco, Mexico

A nightmare scenario has unfolded overnight for the southwestern sections of Mexico. A landfall of a Category 5 hurricane in and around Acapulco, slamming the coastline with winds of 265 kilometers per hour.

Hurricane Otis is the first Category 5 hurricane landfall for the eastern Pacific, also the strongest storm to strike the Pacific Coast of Mexico and also the fastest 12 hour rapid intensification for this region.
