kir_mokumsays...the amount of data and processing this would require would be STAGGERING and would still only output the equivalent of a low poly animation (this would build a point cloud rather than a polymesh). i would guess it would be in the ballpark of 1 TB/sec. possibly more.
most of the tech is actually pretty old but it's consolidation and implementation is impressive.
